Setting up Catalog

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Goto Meta Commerce Manager Account section

  1. Click on Add Catalogue

  1. Change the catalog name to β€œBrandName - LimeChat” for easy identification and select upload product info

  1. Once done, click on View Catalogue. Click on Add Multiple items

  1. Click on Items; this will be empty; we need to upload the product information into it

  1. Click on Yes, and proceed to Next

  1. Copy paste the below URL in a new tab

    https://limekit.limechat.ai/store/catalog/get-sheets?id=<helpdesk-account-id>

    Replace the <helpdesk-account-id> with your helpdesk account id, which can be fetched from the URL you see after login in to your helpdesk account. For example in the image below, the helpdesk-account-id is 24.

  1. You will see two links populated when you run the URL mentioned above, copy the s3_csv link

  1. Go back to the catalog commerce manager section & paste the s3_csv link you got in the previous step in the β€œUse a URL” section.

  1. Ensure to remove the login details after pasting the URL

On the next screen, choose the hourly frequency and click Next

In the next page, configure the default currency to INR & click Next & then click on Upload


  1. We need to fetch the catalog id. Have a look at the URL https://business.facebook.com/commerce/catalogs/1042851180440204/feeds/556455239747502/overview?business_id=102085324759119 the number after /catalogs/ is the catalog id.

    In the below screenshot, the catalog id is 1042851180440204, note it somewhere

  1. Now Goto Helpdesk β†’ Setting β†’ Inbox β†’ WhatsApp CloudAPI inbox’s setting β†’ WhatsApp Catalog ID

    Paste the catalog id there and save it

  1. Now goto

https://business.facebook.com/wa/manage/catalog-linking/?business_id=<business id>&waba_id=<waba id>

Replace the business id and waba id in the URL above and run it

These details can be found inside your Facebook meta app (a developer account is needed) -

Note: Please make sure that the app mode is switched to Live mode.

You’ll be asked to connect the created catalog with your waba account

Post this your catalog and WABA account should be connected successfully.

  1. Goto Helpdesk β†’ Settings β†’ Bot Management β†’ Configuration Management

Add the following system configurations init. To add a configuration click on Add/Edit Configuration

WA_CATALOG_COUNT

Number of maximum catalog messages to be sent in case of overflow. Default is 3. Which means a maximum of 3*30 = 90 products would be sent.

WA_CATALOG_SORT_BY

”price”: Sorts by price in ascending order. (cheapest first).

β€œpopularity”: Sorts by price in ascending order. (most popular first). β€’ β€œdate”: Sorts by date in descending order. (latest created first).
