Creating WABA using 360Dialog

The process described here is only applicable to new phone numbers.

Prerequisites

To get a WhatsApp Business API Access, the client needs:

  1. Valid phone number: This phone number must be able to receive and verify a 6 Digit PIN Code through SMS or Voice Call. If this number has an IVR system enabled, the IVR needs to be temporarily disabled during the registration process. A phone number can only be registered for one type of account. If it is registered in the WhatsApp Business API, it cannot be used for the WhatsApp Consumer App or Business App. If the number is already linked to a WhatsApp account, the account should be deleted.

  2. Meta Business Manager with complete Business Info: The client can create a new Meta Business Account or connect to an existing one during the Embedded Signup process. Please choose your Business Manager carefully, since it can't be changed after the number is registered.

To have an active account the client must add the company information in the Business Info section of Business Manager Settings, before or after going through the Embedded Signup. It needs to include a legal name, an address, a website, and the business phone number.

This information is used by Facebook to check compliance with the Commerce Policy. If it's not correctly set up, the account will be immediately rejected in the Commerce Policy. Therefore, the website:

    • is mandatory

    • must be working

    • must have a clear explanation of the company's business model

  3. Credit Card: This will be a direct payment model, so clients need to have their credit card synced during the process. (Only for Direct Payment model)

Please ensure that you have all the prerequisites ready before starting.

Onboarding Steps:

Step 1: Use the β€œAdd Inbox” button in Inboxes section to start the process.

Step 2: Once you click on "Create a WA Business Account", you will be redirected to a new window. This step is divided into two parts:

2.1 The first step in this process is to create an account. Complete the following steps to apply for WABA account and creating a an account with 360Dialog

Business Selection: The flow will always show the default legal name as the business. It will always show the business information even if all of the required fields are filled out.

This new flow prevents businesses from making errors by disabling businesses where the user is not an admin of, and also disabling creation of a business if they have the maximum amount of businesses created already.

WABA and Profile Selection

The new flow is standardized such that regardless whether a user is adding or selecting a new WABA/phone profile, the flow is the same. From this screen the user can do one of the following:

  1. Create both a new WABA and profile

  2. Select an existing WABA and create new profile

  3. Select an existing WABA and profile

Regardless of which option the user elects to do, the flow will always start off the same way.

Creating a New WABA and Profile

If the user elects to create a new WABA and profile, they will fill out all their WABA and profile information on a single page.

Website is now an optional field that is defaulted to the business’ website.

Selecting an Existing WABA and Creating a New Profile

If the user selects an existing WABA, they can only edit the phone profile field.

The user will then enter their phone number information as prompted.

Selecting an Existing WABA and Profile

If the user selects an existing WABA and existing profile, the profile is displayed but will not be editable. To edit the profile, it must be done in the WhatsApp Manager.

The user will then have the ability to verify the number and select the verification method.

Verified Phone Number

If the user selects a verified phone number they will be directed to the completion step.

This marks the end of the first part of the process.

Note: Account creation typically takes around 15 minutes to complete. It's important that the client does NOT close the window during this step.

2.2 Authorise Partner Application

This step grants LimeChat permission to access the WABA account.

Select the appropriate number from the dropdown and click on "Save Selection". Post this, the user will be redirected back to the LimeChat's CRM
