Overview

LimeChat has a seamless integration with Zendesk which allows us to do the following

  1. Use their API to fetch the status of tickets (Used for automating ticket resolution tracking on LimeChat’s Helpdesk)

  2. And to Raise and Edit tickets directly via HelpDesk. Simple and easy

Follow the steps below to set up the integration 👇

Integration

To use the APIs we need to generate an Authentication Token which requires the following credentials

  1. USERNAME

  2. PASSWORD

  3. TOKEN

Steps

To generate an API token

  1. In Admin Center, click Apps and integrations in the sidebar, then select APIs > Zendesk API.

  2. Click the Add API token button to the right of Active API tokens.

    The token is generated and displayed.

  1. (Optional) Enter an API token description.

  2. Copy the token and paste it somewhere secure. When you click Save to close this window, the full token will never be displayed again.

  3. Click Save to return to the Zendesk API page.

    If you click the token to reopen it, a truncated version of the token is displayed.

Copy and paste username, password and api token at

Settings→Integrations→CRM Partners→Zendesk

on HelpDesk.

Hit Connect/Update button and the work’s done!
